Episode 41: Management Used To Be Obsolete, The Story Of Employee Involvement And Work Teams

This is a historical piece putting on record the past pilot program where management allowed t6 strings to manage themselves. The carriers were in charge of their own leave approval, their own overtime, their own volumes and their own expectations. At a time where employees had such an input on their own workplace conditions, did this program work? Was it helpful? Why did it stop? We interview those who were involved in these work teams, go over a document explaining the employee involvement committees, and get on record exactly what it means for letter carriers to manage themselves.

They want at least 2000 carriers to do it in 2 weeks by the OHIO Rap Session, lets blow that number out of the water, thats only 1 percent of us, we can easily do this.
